Cutting corners isn't a great idea when you're building airplanes.

“The theme is shortcuts everywhere — not doing the job right.”

Those words, spoken by a former Boeing engineer and shared via today’s New York Times, point to a corporate culture that cherishes profits over passenger safety.

This is not a good look for America’s marquee airplane maker.
