These 59 short movements, Noises 3-61, were shared with Current Dissonance subscribers throughout 2022. Each "Noise" is an immediate, improvised, solo piano reaction to a news story from around the world, shared the same day the headline was published. This practice allowed me to celebrate and mourn, rage and connect, during a time of extreme, muted isolation. It's also a vivid monument to what I consider the most difficult year of my life, chiseled in the language I speak best.

Welcome to my musical diary for a year gone bonkers. The work consists of 61 interlinked, two-three-minute-long solo piano movements that I composed, recorded, and shared with subscribers to this newsletter throughout 2023. Each movement ("Noise") is an immediate solo piano reaction to a current event, tiny or monumental, from somewhere around the world.
